Max Holloway put on a masterclass against Justin Gaethje on UFC 300 topping if off with a KO. Needless to say this is an all time great performance has sparked strong reactions from many fans. Not only did Holloway outclass Gaethje but also out gunned him with that KO in the final round. Holloway in the last 10 seconds told Gaethje to go to the centre of the octagon where both fighters swung for the fences Holloway landing a right hand to score the KO . Alexander Volkanovski Reacts to Max Holloway Knocking Out Justin Gaethje at UFC 300
Long time rival of Holloway Alexander Volkanovski the man who dethroned Max at lightweight and subsequently beat the former champ 2 other times has his input. Volkanovski had faith in his rival from the get go actually picking Holloway to defeat Gaethje in a Youtube video. Volkanovski then uploaded his live reaction to Max’s KO on X formerly known as Twitter.
Volk a true fan of the game watched in elation laughing as Holloway and Gaethje swung it out. When Max scored the KO Volk was as shocked as the rest of us to see Gaethje faceplant into the canvas.
Volkanovski also uploaded a longer video to his YouTube channel doing a short breakdown of what went down. Volkanovski called Holloway’s fight the ,”the biggest moment on the card”. Volk also reiterated that ,”I told you’s not to count Max Holloway out” believing too many people wrote off Max but admitted he, “didn’t expect a knockout”.
The former champ stated, “I expected him to win but not like that” which was the case for many fans. Volkanovski also expressed interest in Holloway’s future as do the rest of us with him having more options than ever as the Blessed Express continues.
