Almighty Fighting Championship 28 returns to the Barnsley Metrodome in Barnsley, England, Sunday, November 26th. Almighty FC presents its biggest card to date with another talent-heavy card. The full 23-fight card begins at 3:30pm GMT and will be available for PPV on Fight Ticket. Tickets are still available for the event through the Almighty Fighting Championship website.
The main event features an amateur featherweight championship bout between Kayne Holmes (6-2) and Daniel Ward (5-3). Holmes is coming off back-to-back unanimous decision victories with the promotion, earning him a shot for the title. Returning to Almighty FC and 3-1-1 with the promotion, Ward looks to snap a 2-fight losing skid against the streaking Holmes.
The co-main hosts a bantamweight amateur championship matchup between champion Adam Butterworth (9-6) and undefeated prospect Brooklyn Thomas (5-0). Butterworth comes into the matchup on a 3-fight win streak, including a fifth-round submission over Jack Humphries to secure the Almighty amateur bantamweight championship. Thomas has amassed a 5-0 record in just 16 months since he turned eighteen. The young rising store took home bronze at the world IMMAF youth championships at his weight class in 2019 when he was just 15.
The card also plays host to two professional bouts. Chris Hill (2-0) will take on pro debutant Yu-Joe Lewis Lai (0-0, 3-3 Amateur) at middleweight. Then, Robbie Kennedy (3-3) takes on Jamie MacDonald (1-0) in a light-heavyweight clash. A sixteen-fight preliminary card follows all seven featured fights. The entire fight card can be found below.
