Andrew Fisher returns to the Bellator cage at Bellator 287. His opponent will be the American Justin Gonzales. Taking place in Milan on October 29th, this Featherweight showdown will be one hell of a fight.
Adding another exciting match-up to an already top draw card. Bellator Milan is shaping up incredibly nicely. Earmark this one as a potential fight of the night as it has all the makings for a cracker.
Andrew Fisher
An extremely busy man when it comes to the world of MMA. Andrew is the founder and head coach of Team Fish Tank MMA, housing some top talents. Still fighting as well as coaching. He’ll be making his sixth appearance in a Bellator cage. This will be his fourth in a row. Finding his form, he is undefeated in his last six fights with five wins and a no contest.
At 37, he seems to be getting better with age. With another win, he could propel himself up the division. 19-8-1 as a pro, he has a wealth of experience behind him and uses all the tools in his box to win with six KO/TKO’s, nine submissions and four decisions.
The last time out saw him earn a unanimous decision victory over Attila Korkmaz at Bellator 281.
Justin Gonzales
Taking on the seasoned Brit will be Justin Gonzales. Former DWCS alumni. He has since made Bellator his home. With this being his fourth fight for the promotion, in his previous three, he has gone 2-1. Overall his MMA record sits at a stellar 13-1, with his only blemish coming against a top contender in Aaron Pico.
A well-rounded skill set sees him own four KO/TKO’s, eight decisions and a lone submission. The younger of the two by six years, he hopes claiming a massive scalp like Andrew Fisher can springboard his career.
His last victory was against the incredibly tough Kai Kamara III. Taking the nod via split decision in a close-fought battle.
The Fight
Each man has been in good form of late. Both are looking to climb the Bellator Featherweight rankings, and a win for either could do just that.
Two talents who have no real weakness, expect a full display of MMA for this one. Either man can end it or take it to a three-round dog fight. Don’t miss this one.
