Andy Clamp (11-1, 1 NC) will make his Cage Warriors debut against Bellator veteran Chuck Campbell (4-1, 1 NC) this weekend in Manchester. The bout will take place at light heavyweight at Cage Warriors 146: Duncan vs. Dimitrov.
Cage Warriors have confirmed the bout exclusively with Combat Sports UK. It is just another exciting addition to yet another stacked Cage Warriors event that will see the interim welterweight title, and the middleweight titles put on the line.
The fight represents a step up in competition for Englishman Andy Clamp, who is looking to prove he belongs at the next level. Although his previous three victories have come against journeymen, they were won by impressive first round finishes. The American Campbell fought under the Cage Warriors banner in March this year. He earned a decision win over the previously unbeaten Elijah Harris. He also holds a 2-1 record in Bellator, with his only loss coming by way of split decision.
One man who will have a keen eye on this fight is Modestas Bukauskas. He was victorious in an emotional comeback from a serious injury at CW145, winning a unanimous decision over Lee Chadwick. He told Combat Sports UK he hopes to fight on the Cage Warriors New Year’s Eve card. This event will feature fighters from Europe taking on fighters from the US. If Campbell wins this fight, his name will be on a shortlist of American’s to pair with Bukauskas.
