Anthony Joshua could be in line for a Heavyweight World Title shot if the cards fall in place according to Spencer Oliver.
The cards in question regard three of his previous opponents, Uysk Dubois and Parker.
Spencer Oliver believes that Joshua would face Joseph Parker for a WBO Heavyweight Title If Usyk takes on Daniel Dubois.
The situation would need to fall in place before Joshua would even have a chance at the title but as days go by it looks much more likely.
It has already been rumoured that Usyk would like to rematch Daniel Dubois but Parker is adamant that he deserves the shot.
Parker posted his plea for the title shot over social media in the past days.
The post comes in the wake of news that Parker would be next in line for Usyk’s WBO title.
Is Anthony Joshua Worthy On Current Form?
Spencer Brown has claimed he thinks Usyk is looking for Dubois as his next ‘dance partner’.
“Yeah I am across it, I think Oleksandr Usyk is looking for another dance partner. Who I believe will be Daniel Dubois. I think that fight happens next even though the WBO will want him to fight someone new.”
He believes that Usyk will vacate opening the opportunity for Parker to face the ex Olympian for the WBO.
“I then believe he will vacate that WBO title, he will fight Dubois and then Parker will be elevated from interim.”He will be a full world champion and then Anthony Joshua boxes him for that WBO title.”
Brown thinks the two winners are destined to face off against each other.
“Then the winners box each other for the undisputed titles, that is the route and road map I see.”
The tournament style matchups would lead to a second world title shot for Joshua despite not fighting since his KO loss to Dubois.
Brown doesn’t see this as an issue though, claiming Joshua is still a worthy opponent.
“Of course, he’s reigned as a two-time heavyweight champion and a poster boy for boxing for many years. He’s lost to Dubois who was in great form and brilliant. AJ is still a massive name in boxing. Of course he deserves it, under Ben Davison he was looking good, He got beaten up, but he can recover from that, he did against Andy Ruiz. But does AJ deserve a chance to fight for a world title again? 100 per cent.”
