His Excellency Turki Alalshikh has claimed he will turn his attention to making Deontay Wilder vs Anthony Joshua if Fury is really retired.
The shock news of Fury’s retirement has put halt on some of His Excellency’s attempts to create the best boxing fights in 2025.
This hasn’t deterred boxings most powerful person as he has taken attention away from Fury Vs Joshua to Wilder Vs Joshua.
“I want to see Joshua and Wilder now. If Tyson is not available, why not Joshua and Wilder?”
This was said on an interview with TalkSport who’ve been very critical of His Excellency.
In the same interview His Excellency spoke about Tyson Fury’s retirement and his wish to make Anthony Joshua Vs Tyson Fury.
“First of all, this kind of decision must be from the fighters. Of course, as a fan of boxing, I don’t like it. We want to see Tyson in more big fights, but I can understand his situation. You don’t know, this kind of decision can be changed by time… I will support him and discuss it with him. I will leave him for some time to be with his family, then we can discuss it.”
His Excellency Turki Alalshikh isn’t the only one to have doubts about Fury and his retirement proclamation.
Anthony Joshua fan and Ex World Champion Tony Bellew Has His Thoughts-
Tony Bellew recently claimed it was a ploy to squeeze more money out of his potential fight with Anthony Joshua.
“It’s just a bargaining tool,”
“Firstly, if it’s true, I wish him all the best in his retirement. Tyson is undoubtedly one of the greatest heavyweights this country has ever produced, and I hope he finds happiness. He should, given everything he’s achieved in boxing.
Bellew isn’t convinced he will leave the Anthony Joshua money on the table.
“The problem is, part of me isn’t entirely convinced about the seriousness of this decision. He’s retired from boxing five times before. This could simply be a bargaining tactic in negotiations for a fight with AJ. I just don’t know.
“But if it is true that he’s retiring, I wish him the best. He’s given us some incredible nights and deserves every bit of praise coming his way.”
Despite the insistence from many that Fury isn’t retired and won’t until his match up with Anthony Joshua is over, Turki Alalshikh has got his back up plan with Wilder number one choice if Fury doesn’t want to.
