Aron Leo is gearing up for his professional MMA debut at Caged Steel on June 22nd at The Dome, Doncaster. Facing Bradley Tedham Aron shares his thoughts and feelings as the big day approaches.
“I’m feeling great! It’s been a long time coming. I was aiming for a fight in May at first, so I just can’t wait to get in there and fight.”
Making your professional MMA debut is a monumental moment in ones career, and he significance of this moment isn’t lost on Aron: “It means a lot, but this is what I have been working towards. It’s about time that I take this step to become a professional in MMA, so I’m just excited.”
Aron Leo Reflects on Amateur Career
Reflecting on his amateur career, Aron feels satisfied but acknowledges there were missed opportunities:
“I’m pretty content with it. I would have liked to get another shot at the IMMAF Euros or Worlds, but it just didn’t play out like that. I have gotten everything I needed from my amateur career and am more than ready for this step.”
Due to not a huge amount of fighters competing from the small country that is Iceland, representing Iceland in the MMA world is a matter of pride for Aron:
“It’s always a pleasure. There are not many fighters from Iceland, so it’s always nice to be a good representation of MMA in Iceland.”
Fight With Bradley Tedham
As for his upcoming opponent, Bradley Tedham, Aron is confident in his preparation and abilities, on his opponent he had the following to say:
“I’ve looked into him a bit. He looks to be a very game opponent, but so am I. Skill-wise, I think I’m levels above him, and that’s what I’m gonna show come June 22.”
Aron’s journey from amateur to professional fighter is one filled with dedication and anticipation. As fight night draws near, all eyes will be on him to see if he can make a successful transition and make his mark in professional MMA.
