In the lead-up to his bout against Dave Jones at Almighty FC 35 in Deeside, Wales, Ashley Walters exudes confidence.
Reflecting on his training camp, he states, “It’s been a good camp up to Almighty and my fight in general and I feel like I’m going to go out there and give my best performance to date with my preparations for it.”
Walters acknowledges Jones’s scrappy grappling style but asserts, “Well, he’s mostly known for a scrappy form of grappling, and from what I’ve seen, I know I am better everywhere.”
The seasoned fighter is determined to secure his first professional win, emphasizing, “What I want to achieve is my first professional win by any means necessary, whether it’s by stoppage or domination and build up from there.”

Reflecting on his training since his last fight, Walters mentions, “Since my last fight I have been working on a lot of things and making lots of improvements in my overall game as well as my confidence and self-belief.”
When asked about countering Jones’s game plan, Walters responds pragmatically, “Well, as he might try to strike with me or try and get it to the ground, I’ve prepared for any possible outcome in the fight and show it on fight night.”
Looking ahead, Walters shares his long-term aspirations in MMA, stating, “Continue to improve my skills in the gym with my great team behind me and have more of an active schedule by taking more fights, and eventually get onto a bigger stage and show what I’m made of.”
With his sights set on victory, Ashley Walters is aiming to pick up that first victory as a professional inside the cage.
