A professional lightweight bout between Joe Cummins and Joachim Tollefson has been confirmed for May 28th via Battle Arena.
In May, the lightweight fight is set to headline Battle Arena’s Nottingham card. It will take place at the Harvey Hadden Stadium.
Battle Arena confirmed the showdown to Combat Sports UK earlier today.
Joe Cummins vs Joachim Tollefson Set for Battle Arena
Cummins is coming off of an exhibition win over Hayden Sherriff back in July of 2021.
His last professional outing was against Thomas Paull. On that night, Cummins successfully defeated Paull via first-round submission.
With a professional record of 7-2, ‘Silk’ will be aiming to string some consistent wins under his belt and work his way up the regional scene.
Currently riding a two-fight losing streak against Mateusz Figlak and Anas Siraj Mounir, Joachim Tollefson’s last professional victory came in 2019 Martin Paterson at Battle Arena 54.
Since then, the Norwegian native has gone 0-2-1 inside the cage. Looking to get back in the win column, May 28th’s card in Nottingham is the perfect chance for Tollefson to get back to winning ways.
Following an unsuccessful stint in Cage Warriors, Tollefson has an opportunity to pick up a crucial win and attempt to force his way back into contention of fighting in Europe’s top promotion.
The same can be said for Birmingham’s Joe Cummins. Cummins has impressed across the regional scene, and he’ll be itching to keep up his good run of form against Norway’s Tollefson.
Battle Arena MMA will be looking to add to the eye-catching main event. Fans await several other key fight announcements ahead of the Nottingham card in May.
