BBBofC is set to make a decision on David Adeleye’s win against Jeamie TKV on Saturday Nights Queensbury Dazn debut.
The board have set a meeting to discuss the controversial circumstances in which Adeleye took his TKO victory over Jeamie TKV.
The TKO victory came in the 6th round of a potential 12.
But the smashing left hand was after referee Ron Kearney called for the fighters to break.
Kearny called for both fighters to break after some grappling even touching the hand of TKV by pushing it down.
The controversy didn’t stop there as TKV was reprimanded earlier in the bout for punching after the referee called for a break.
The BBBofC have expressed there standpoint by saying they are set to discuss the result in a scheduled meeting on Wednesday.
The news came from head of the BBBofC Robert Smith.
“We actually have a board meeting on Wednesday where everything will be put to the Board in full and then a decision will be made on how we move forward on it. I would expect the decision to be made at that meeting.”
Despite the decision being in question as of Monday morning the BBBofC haven’t received a official complaint from TKV or his team.
“We haven’t received any appeal or anything else as of yet but I fully expect to. I’m just gathering all the information myself from the referee involved and from the officials who were there. The chairman was there at the venue so I will be speaking to him later on.”
BBBofC Decision Affects Everyone-
The decision will have a huge impact on not just the two fighters careers but will have a impact on how referees will control future bouts.
Although no formal complaint has been made yet both trainers have had their say over X.
Promoter Ben Shalom has also made his thoughts known.
“It has to be OVERTURNED. One of the worst decisions I’ve ever seen” Via IFL TV.
The two boxers should have a result by the end of the week which could impact the trajectory of both.
Considering the competitiveness of the previous 5 rounds before the TKO. I would imagine lots of boxing fans would happily see this again.
