Bellator is back on February 4th with its first event of 2023 from Los Angeles, California. Headlined by Ryan Bader and Fedor Emilianenko, the company will serve up a 14-fight card, including two title fights. In the US, the event will be broadcast live on CBS and Paramount Plus – a first time for the company and the first time CBS has shown any live MMA since 2010. As always, in the UK, the event will be available to watch live and for free on BBC iPlayer.
As mentioned, in the main event Ryan Bader (31-7) is set to defend his Bellator heavyweight world championship against Fedor Emilianenko (40-6), a rematch from their 2019 bout. The Russian legend will be looking to pick up Bellator gold in his retirement bout, coming off the back of an impressive first-round knockout against Tim Johnson. Opposite him, the champion will look to make his fourth defense of the title, hoping for a repeat of their first meeting. In the co-main event, the Bellator middleweight world championship is up for grabs as Johnny Eblen (12-0) defends his title for the first time against Anatoly Tokov (31-2). Rounding out the main card, Sabah Homasi (17-10) takes on Brennan Ward (16-6) in a welterweight bout, with both men looking to make it three wins in a row.
