Bellator 291 takes place this Saturday Night at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. The card is headlined by, the returning welterweight champion, Yaroslav Amosov and the current interim champion, Logan Storley.
The champion returns after fighting for his country. Amosov was on the front lines in Ukraine. The Co-Main event is a featherweight fight, and it has major title implications. The bout pits the third-ranked featherweight, Pedro Carvalho, against the 5th ranked Jeremy Kennedy. Local Irish fighters and young prospects fill this card. Most of these prospects are coming from the serging camp, SBG Ireland. Lesser-known fighters and prospects are not only lesser known to the public, but they are also lesser known to the bookies. These are the cards we love. We love these cards because these are the cards we can take advantage of from a gambling perspective. With that said, these are the best straight bets, props and parlays that you will want to have action on this weekend.
Amosov Returns at Bellator 291
Amosov makes his return to the cage reluctantly. This is because he was on the front lines, boots on the ground, fighting with his countrymen in Ukraine. Now that the fighting has ceased in his home town, he makes his return. His plan is to use his platform to make an even bigger impact than he could have on the battlefield. While that is a great story, Amosov has not fought since 2021. He returns to defend his belt against a familiar foe. He fought Logan Storley to a split Dec victory back in 2020. That fight was extremely close. Amosov was defending takedowns the entire fight. It was a gruelling fight, and Amosov appeared very tired in the third round. Will Amosov have the gas tank to repeat this victory? I seriously question that.
While Amosov was away, Storley seized the division. The interim champion is a wrestler. He was a four-time all-American out of the University of Minnesota, and he used that style to ground his opponents and take them into deep water. Storley can grapple for days. He is tenacious and won’t stop. The guy will take you down over and over again. He regularly trains with the likes of Gilbert Burns over at KillCliffFC, and you have to think this is attributed to his success.
Amasov hasn’t been thinking about fighting. He has had more important things on his mind. I expect he will be in excellent shape, but defence wrestling for five rounds is tiring. He could barely handle Storley for three. Amosov hasn’t been overly impressive. He is very slow in the cage. Has good technique, but man, is he slow. I think Storley comes out for Bellator 291 wrestle-heavy. He will avoid the submissions (which Amosov is very trick with) and unify his belt. Bet Storley at +140.
Prospects Collide
This is a fight between two young Prospects. Adoudj is 24 years old and is 4-1 in his young career. Training out of SBG Ireland with head coach John Kavanagh is the perfect match for Adjoudj’s style. Adoudj is an unorthodox striker. He keeps his hands low, and he has weird movements, but you never know what is coming. He’s very fast and athletic and throws with power in every shot. Adoudj is coming off an impressive first-round head-kick win.
Liam McCracken is being dubbed as the next big thing from Liverpool, but McCracken is only 21 years old and is 3-0, with all three wins coming in the first round. He’s fought a very low level of competition. Liam McCracken is well-rounded. He mixes up his strikes and wrestling well.
No matter the winner, this fight should finish inside the distance. The line isn’t out of control at -185. Asael Adjoudj impressed me. This kid may have something special, and he will be the biggest test McCracken has ever faced. Asael Adoudj will win inside the distance at Bellator 291. The line is set at +175, and that is a great bet.
Bellator 291 All Chalk Parlay -141
FIrst leg: Darragh Kelly
Kelly is a 24-year-old, 2-0 prospect out of SBG Ireland. The kid is a beast. Darragh is moving down to Featherweight for this fight, and I think that will be a good move for him. He’s a big favourite for a reason. He will dominate.
Second Leg: Khasan Magomedsharipov
Khasan is the brother of UFC stand-out Zabit. Magomedsharipov is the real deal, and Bellator is developing him the right way. Another massive favourite, but there is no chance he will lose this fight.
Third Leg: Kenny Mokhonoana
The Black Diamond is an athletic freak fighting out of Ireland. Kenny is 4-0 and has been finishing every one. He is facing a guy that is 3-4. This is as close to a lock as it gets.
Fourth Leg: Norbert Novenyi Jr.
Novenyi has been out of the cage for nearly three years. Norbert is unproven but is a big favourite for a reason. He is a dominant wrestler with excellent submissions. He is facing Andy Manzolo, who is 38 years old and fights constantly. Mazolo has a massive record with a bunch of wins, but they are all over bums. Bellator has called him in on two other occasions, and he was beaten both times. This is a set-up fight for Novenyi to get back to his winning ways. However, this is the leg I am most scared of because Norvenyi did get rocked in his last fight.
This four-leg parlay gets you a line of -141. Bellator is known for setting guys up for success, and that is what they are doing here. Let’s take advantage of it and bet on this parlay.
Gamble Responsibly, and let’s win some money this weekend!
