Jake Paul fires back at UFC star Conor McGregor following the Irishman’s recent comments.
The American released a post on social media ridiculing McGregor’s downfall.
It all stemmed from Conor McGregor’s stream with Duelbits where he slandered multiple fighters.
Boxer Jake Paul Says He Would Beat UFC Star Conor McGregor in Cage or Ring
During his stream with Duelbits on X (formerly Twitter Connor McGregor taunted and insulted a host of fighters, one of whom was Jake Paul. Ahead of his upcoming fight with Mike Tyson McGregor said; “I hope Mike rattles the little dope! No one gives a f*ck about him!”
In Typical Jake Paul fashion it didn’t take him long to respond on X “Conor McGregor’s crash out needs to be studied.” Paul followed up by tweeting: “I would destroy this cokehead in the ring or in the cage. Keep begging for your date hahaha.”
The pair have clashed several times prior to this with Paul looking to entice the Irishman back into boxing. Whilst McGregor has ruled out a return to the boxing ring, he has called out Jake Paul to a MMA bout.
Could McGregor vs Paul Be in The Making?
There are serious questions to be asked if this fight does materialise. McGregor is a high level MMA fighter who was once a double champion in the UFC. Jake Paul on the other hand is a YouTuber turned boxer with limited fighting knowledge and experience.
Considering all this Jake Paul has a professional record of nine wins and one loss. Although that one loss did come against Tommy Fury, a professional boxer and Tyson Fury’s younger brother. However, the American has beaten former UFC champions Tyrone Woodley and Anderson Silva. Many fans criticised Paul for the mere fact that both his opponents were at the backend of their career and had faded from the limelight.
McGregor on the other hand is looking to return to the Octagon in 2025 after his leg injury in 2021 against Dustin Poirier. Whilst the Irishman doesn’t have an opponent lined up, it seems unlikely that McGregor fights outside the UFC.
