Brendan Loughnane is a name quickly becoming synonymous with UK MMA. An ever-present figure at the top of The Professional Fighters League (PFL) and its Featherweight division. Brendan has continued to improve by leaps and bounds, allowing him to flourish in the organisation.
His Influence on the PFL
A man without the backing of the biggest MMA company, The UFC. Brendan has cultivated UK fans to the presence of the PFL and his position at the top. A company on the rise, making waves in the MMA landscape. Loughnane has been a key figure in spearheading the company to new heights.
Recently embarking on their first UK shows, the Manucunisn was one of the pillars behind this milestone. Without his success, the UK and PFL connection would be nowhere near the level it currently is.

Looking ahead, Brendan’s PFL 2022 journey has seen him reach the championship final. Not all plain sailing. He has faced adversity with overcoming his three opponents so far. However, Brendan shines when the pressure is on and will enter the final more motivated than ever.

Brendan Loughnane Manchester’s New Hero?
The UK is in a boom period right now. With Leon Edwards recently winning gold. Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann hitting stratospheric levels of stardom. Among others, all who are achieving great things at the top of plenty of MMA organisations.
Brendan Loughnane joins the UK upper echelon, competing for 145 lbs gold at PFL 10 on November 25th. Michael Bisping, also from Manchester, is one of the UK’s biggest stars who won gold. He has since retired. Loughnane looks to take the mantle and become the new face of MMA in the city. Looking to take the sport to new levels in the city, he looks to etch his name among the city’s sporting elite.
What Does Brendan Say about It?
In an interview with Manchester world, he outlines his plan to become a household name in the city.
“I believe this fight will put me up there with those names [UK MMA Stars]. In Manchester, I also want to put myself alongside the Rashfords, the Lingards, Ricky Hatton, Tyson Fury. Those are the names I want to be alongside and I believe winning this will put me there.”
He continued to say. “We’re finally getting the accolades we deserve in the UK. I’ve always known how good we are. I believe I am one of the best 145lbers on planet Earth and I’m going to be taken a lot more seriously once I finally get that belt.”
Talking about his preparations for his upcoming fight and his training in Thailand, he had this to proclaim. “We’ve got all the Scousers [Darren Till among them] and all the Mancs. I’m surrounded by positive energy. I’ve been coming to Thailand for ten years now, it’s an amazing environment for fighters with amazing training partners. I eat, sleep and train, and that’s all I do.”
