Scott Pederson and Chris Sterling are two well known names across the UK, and they’re now scheduled to clash in the main event of Brett Johns Fight Night 1.
Brett Johns Fight Night 1 goes down May 7th at the Carmarthen Show Ground in South Wales. I spoke with Brett Johns on Sunday, and he gave me the inside scoop on multiple fights going down. We’ve got the details on all three only at Combat Sports UK.
Brett Johns Fight Night 1 Main Event: Scott Pederson vs Chris Sterling
Two fighters who’re well known amongst the lighter weight classes in the UK will meet one another at Featherweight. Scott enters this one with a pro record of 1-3 against tough competition, and Chris comes in 1-1 coming off of his first professional defeat.
Scott Pedersen represents Brett Johns’ camp, SHORE MMA headed by Richard ‘Shaky’ Shore. Pedersen has long been well-regarded as a fighter across the pond. Although he’s on a two fight losing streak, he’s facing tough opposition in high level promotions. One loss came in Cage Warriors at the hands of Nik Bagley, the other was at Bellator 275. Scott can change the direction of his momentum entirely with a win at Brett Johns Fight Night 1, yet a loss would be excruciating.
Sterling enters after a loss to Raphael Uchegbu back in 2019, so both men are looking to reverse their fortunes. Sterling has faced some tough competition already, so the experience should help him in this one. Uchegbu, Liam Molloy and Mike Figlak are all great prospects, and Sterling’s shared the cage with all of them.
