While the main card will grab most of the attention, UFC 310’s prelim do feature some thrilling matchups, including Smith vs Reyes, Sterling vs Evloev, and Luque vs Gorimbo. However, one prelim fight stands out as a potential ‘Fight of the Night’ contender. This is a welterweight clash between a UFC veteran on a hot streak and a “Butcher” aiming to carve his way into the Top 15.
Bryan ‘The Butcher’ Battle Confident Ahead of UFC 310, Eyes Randy Brown as Next Obstacle
Since he suffered a unanimous decision defeat to Rinat Fakhretdinov back in 2022, The Ultimate Fighter alum Bryan “The Butcher” Battle has been on a tear, securing three consecutive stoppages in his last three UFC welterweight bouts.
Bryan Battle returns to the octagon this weekend on the prelims of UFC 310 to face seasoned veteran Randy “Rude Boy” Brown, a fighter the flashy American believes is “the best name I’ve had up to this point”
“He brings a lot to the table—athletic, fast, unorthodox style, and tons of experience,” Battle said. “Experience is definitely his biggest advantage, with the high-level competition he’s faced.”
“That said, he’s just another obstacle for me to overcome, another mountain to climb… One way or another, I’m getting him out of there. Period.”
UFC 310 comes just weeks after Battle’s second-round knockout of Kevin Joussett, sparking concerns about how the quick turnaround will affect his performance.
However, Battle was quick to remind fans of his past experience when he said;
“Remember how I got to the UFC—I fought twice in two weeks on The Ultimate Fighter.”
“Sure, the turnarounds are faster now, but before the UFC, I fought four times a year. It felt like a fast turnaround then, but right now, I feel amazing, incredibly sharp… everything’s falling into place at the right time.”
Bryan Talks Newfound Fame and Jokingly Slapping a Fan After UFC 310
Bryan Battle has gained a whole new following after his memorable showdown against Kevin Jousset. This was when he famously taunted the UFC Paris crown when he said;
“You thought I’d lose a fistfight to a French dude”
“It’s been like a whirlwind,” Battle said of his sudden rise to fame. “It’s been nonstop. A blessing, really. Everything I’ve worked for is starting to pay off, and I finally have a chance to take my career to the next level—it’s been really cool.”
“The fans have been amazing, the memes and Instagram reels are wild—there’s a new one every couple of days. It’s been a lot of fun.”
However, there is one meme Bryan Battle is hoping will come true after UFC 310: he’d love to playfully slap a fan, just like his coaches do before his fights. Bryan laughed with media members when he said;
“Not yet, but I’m waiting for it,”
“I can’t wait to smack the s*** out of a fan, you know what I’m saying? That’d be funny as hell.”
“I’m not saying it in a mean way—if someone asks for it, like ‘Hey, can you slap me?’ I’d be like, ‘Of course,’ and just smack them.”
UFC 310 will take place on Saturday, December 7th from Las Vegas and Bryan Battle will take on Randy Brown on the prelims. So make sure you tune in early to see “The Butcher” in action.
