Today sees Cage Warriors 138 go down. After an extremely successful card yesterday. Which saw six fights and five finishes. The fighters on this one will be looking to improve on yesterday’s fantastic event. Today’s show will no doubt replicate the entertainment.
Originally a six-fight card, due to Connor Hignett not being medically cleared, the show will go on with five. Like last night’s event, it will be the perfect dosage of MMA for your Saturday evening. With a frantic pace and a whole wealth of top MMA fighters, CW 138 is a must-watch.
Where and When to Watch?
Taking place tonight, Saturday, May 28th, the event is hosted in Colchester. With tickets sold out you can still watch the event live via UFC Fight Pass, asubscription-based platform. For just £6.99 you can gain access to a month of it. Not only allowing you to watch tonight’s show but also yesterday, and any past event you might want to watch.
The fights are scheduled to start at 8:30 pm, and the five fights should run no later than midnight. Depending on how the results go, this event could finish at any point between 10:00 pm and 11:30 am. If you can’t tune in and want to follow the event, keep up with us here at Combat Sports UK as we cover all the live results.
Cage Warriors 138 Fight Card
From top to bottom here is tonight’s card. One full of exciting matchups, expect a few wars. (Card subject to change)
James Webb vs Leon Aliu
Luke Shanks vs Josh Reed
Orlando Wilson Prins vs Tom Mearns
Herkus Lukosiunas vs Oban Elliott
George Tanasa vs Scott Pederser
Fights to Watch
Honestly, we’d recommend watching all of the fights. After last night’s finish-heavy event there could be fireworks at CW138. Here are a couple of fights that particularly stand out.
Herkus Lukosiunas vs Oban Elliott
Herkus Lukosiunas, is a 3-0 Lithuanian marksman. Competing for the first time since 2019, Herkus will be looking to return to the cage in the same form he left it. Winning. With three wins under his belt, he made quick work of all of them, finishing his trio of bouts all in round one.
His opponent on the night will be Wales’ Oban Elliott. Training out of Shore MMA, Elliott is surrounded by some of the UK’s best fighters and has no doubt learnt a trick or two. 4-2 Oban has faced some stiff competition so far and looks to bounce back after defeat last time out. However, he’s always dangerous and has finished all of his wins.
Taking place as the second fight on the card, earmark this Welterweight showdown as it’s likely going to be a cracker. Two men who have finished all their wins, with seven combined. Don’t blink in this one as it might be over before you know it!
Luke Shanks vs Josh Reed
Luke “The Apocalypse” Shanks. A name all Cage Warriors fans are no doubt aware of. Luke has become deservedly well known for a wealth of top performances. A kill or be killed fighter at 9-3, he gives his all every time he enters the cage. A former title holder Shanks has been at the top. Now looking to earn the big one, once again in the future, expect a motivated and hungry Shanks.
Across the cage from him will be Josh “Crazy Horse” Reed. You don’t earn the nickname “Crazy Horse” for nothing. At 12-6, Reed has only seen the judges four times in 18 fights. A finisher who has won ten inside the distance, Josh is a fan favourite and always a must-watch mixed martial artist.
A tremendous fight between two of Bantamweights’ best competitors, you’d be missing out if you weren’t watching. Two men who can both finish early or go to war. A pair of unpredictable scrappers, there is one thing we can predict. It’s going to be a banger!
