Cage Warriors 146 has some of the best talents in the promotion on display this weekend. Cage Warriors has produced some of the top fighters in combat sports and continues to boast the talent that goes on to shine.
The card held in Manchester will display many fighters who are the future of combat sports, with so many to look out for. Here is a list of a few talents to keep an eye out for this weekend in Manchester.
Adam Cullen
Next Generation’s Adam Cullen has not easily found his way onto this card. The 5-0 scouser struggled to find a fight in his usual 155lb division.
Desperate to get back in the cage, Cullen accepted a bout against welterweight Martin Causse in a 170lb matchup. With five wins in five pro bouts, the undefeated lightweight is yet to leave the first round. This will be Cullens’ debut at 170lbs, but that doesn’t phase the game fighter. The up-and-comer has his eyes set on the UFC and has taken all the right steps to make that a reality. Cullen has gained a reputation for beating French fighters as a pro. Therefore he hopes to do the same against French fighter Causse this weekend.
Reece McEwan
5-1 bantamweight Reece McEwan is easily a front-runner for the future of Scottish MMA. Currently, with two wins inside Cage Warriors, McEwan faces Italian Teodoro Scolieri this weekend. The Scotsman has a carefree attitude and the talent to back it up. A willingness to fight anybody in a stacked 135lb division will get anyone ahead in such a big promotion, and McEwan can certainly use it to his advantage on his way to the top.
Luke Riley
Riley has been nothing but impressive in his young professional career. Similarly to his teammate Cullen, the Next Gen fighter has never been the distance finishing all four of his opponents. The training partner of UFC superstars Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann has a bright future and will be putting his undefeated record on the line against Polish fighter Karol Ktyla on Saturday.
Mateusz Figlak
Polish welterweight has arguably his toughest test in the promotion to date. Figlak eyes interim gold against a veteran of the sport Jim Wallhead this weekend. Figlak has earned his way to the top, however, with his only loss in the promotion coming by the hands of UFC star Ian Garry in 2019. Since then, the Polish fighter has won five straight bouts against five tough opponents. Figlak is a true talent in the promotion, and the 7-1 fighter is certainly a name to look out for this weekend and in the future.
