As another fight night approaches for Ray Thompson and Liam Cann in Deeside, Wales, Cain Morrow gears up for yet another opportunity to step into the cage and showcase his talent. Here’s what Cain had to say ahead of his bout at Almighty Fighting Championship 35:
“The love of the sport fuels me to stay active and to keep pushing to achieve great things for myself and my team.”
Reflecting on his experiences, Cain adopts a mindset of continuous learning, emphasizing that wins and losses alike contribute to his growth as a fighter. He acknowledges that even victories offer valuable lessons, with each fight providing an opportunity for improvement.
“Of course, it’s all learning and working towards an end goal. For me, I’ve definitely learned more from my losses, but as I mature as a fighter, even with my last win, I had so many things to pick apart and that I have already been improving on in training.”

Assessing his upcoming opponent, Reuben Beresford, Cain acknowledges Beresford’s skills but remains confident in his own abilities. While recognizing Beresford’s penchant for standing and striking, Cain views him as a favorable matchup for his style.
“I’ve definitely fought tougher guys. This one seems to like to stand and bang, my ideal opponent.”
Despite Beresford’s hiatus from competition, Cain expects a formidable challenge. Anticipating an aggressive fight, Cain prepares for a striking-heavy encounter.
“I’m expecting a k1 fight in small gloves either way. The guy comes to fight, and I’m sure that hasn’t changed since coming out of early retirement.”
Recalling his recent victory over Zanyar Kamaran, Cain expresses satisfaction with the win but remains focused on areas for improvement. As he matures as a fighter, Cain becomes increasingly critical of his performances, striving for continual growth and refinement.
“Obviously, I’m very happy to be back on another winning streak, but as I said… As I’ve matured as a fighter, I have found myself far more critical of my performances and am concentrating more on where I went wrong rather than where I went right.”
Will The Power Be Too Much?
Looking ahead to his upcoming bout, Cain exudes confidence, envisioning a swift finish. With his sights set on victory, Cain anticipates a knockout victory in the early rounds.
“I really can’t see him going the distance with my power and accuracy in front of him, I see myself knocking him out first or second round.”
As Cain Morrow prepares to step into the cage once again, fans can expect an electrifying performance fueled by his passion for the sport and his relentless pursuit of success.
