Ahead of fight night, we had the chance to talk with Caleb Mullin. Hear his thoughts below.
Interview With Caleb Mullin
Caleb, you return to the cage this Saturday at BMF 7. How’s everything on your end as we enter fight week? Physically and mentally in a good space?
I am feeling good all around. The sooner Saturday comes around, the better.
Saturday night, you’re faced with a very game opponent in Youcef Whitelaw. What were your initial thoughts when this fight was offered, and how do you view the fight from your standpoint?
I wouldn’t say he’s very game. He’s most likely just gonna try and crotch sniff all fight, but I am ready for any angle he takes overall. I think he’s decent everywhere. He’s undefeated, so he’s going to have that extra bit of confidence, and he’s from a good gym, the type of fight I thrive off.
The experience factor will heavily favour you on Saturday night. Do you believe this will play any role on fight night?
I don’t think my experience will play too much of a factor. He seems nice and composed for how many fights he has had, to be honest, and I like to imagine fighting a ufc level opponent every time to get the best out of my preparation.
Last Performance
You found yourself in the win column in your first outing of 2023 at FCC against Ste Kean. It was a split-decision win, but how did you view the fight and your performance?
Learnt a lot from that fight was happy with certain aspects of my game and not happy with other aspects. Either way, don’t expect the same fighter this Saturday.
It will be your first time competing on BMF, and they attract a loyal crowd. For those who haven’t watched you compete, what can they expect?
They can expect a game fighter ready to put it all on the line to bring home the win.
