Caleb Plant has put the world on notice by calling out ex Jose Benavidez Jr opponent and 33-0 Jermall Charlo.
Plant has been insistent on creating this match up by calling Charlo out multiple times.
Charlo has been out of action since winning his 33rd fight in a row against Jose Benavidez Sr and is a ex WBC middleweight champion.
Plant on the other hand is on the back of a 2-2 record in his last 4 fights losing to David Benavidez and Canelo Alvarez.
Sweethands Plant is now looking to bounce back calling Charlo out multiple times.
The American Middleweight has called out the best names in the division.
“I ABSOLUTELY WANT THE [EDGAR BERLANGA] FIGHT AND THE JERMALL CHARLO FIGHT. I WILL TAKE [JAIME MUNGUIA] AS WELL.”
Plant has been very consistent in trying to get fights with the best, not ducking Canelo and Benavidez shows that.
Caleb Plant and Jermall Charlo Are Both Down-
Charlo has been very open to the bout mentioning him on his live.
“Y’all want Caleb Plant? Caleb Plant, hit me up,” said Jermall Charlo on Live. “I’ll do Caleb Plant. Y’all want me to give you Caleb Plant? I’ll give you Caleb Plant. It’s fun.”
Plant returned the favour by reposting this clip and officially sending a message to Charlo.
“This is me hitting you up 🙋🏻♂️ @futureofboxingYou’ve said my name more than once since our last encounter so I’m starting to feel like you just don’t learn so now that you got the easy part done “talking about it” hopefully we can move forward and finish what YOU started. If you aren’t looking for that then it’s probably best that you just leave me be. Y’all know me, I’m cool going our separate ways, I’m also cool locking horns and rolling the dice”
With Riyadh season coming over to America for Haney and Garcia’s next fights it is likely this fight could potentially land on the undercard.
Plant will need to rebuild the momentum he lost after Benavidez and Canelo, Charlo would love a big fight and name on his record.
The two seem destined to meet inside the squared circle and most likely will happen before 2025 has come to a close.
