The Cage Warriors bantamweight title will be up for grabs when Caolan Loughran takes on Dylan Hazan in the Italian capital. Cage Warriors have just announced Michele Martignoni has vacated the belt allowing Loughran and Hazan to fight for the ultimate prize.
Martignoni won the belt when Cage Warriors last touched down in Rome in October. Defeating Dominique Wooding in a five-round showcase. His reason behind relinquishing the belt is to pursue the flyweight championship currently held by Shaj Haque.
The bantamweight throne now lies dormant but come May 6th at Cage Warriors 154 the division will have a new king. Scheduled as the main event, Loughran and Hazan are two of the best prospects in Europe. Both sit undefeated in their professional careers and will look to grab this opportunity with both hands.
Caolan Loughran
Loughran has become a must-watch fighter since first donning the yellow gloves. 7-0 as a professional, and 3-0 inside the Cage Warriors cage he’s truly earned his shot at the gold.
An impressive six finishes to his name, four via KO/TKO and two via submission. All three of his cage warriors’ victories have come inside the distance. From Ireland Loughran hopes to become the newest star out of the nation to claim Cage Warriors gold.
Dylan Hazan
His counterpart Dylan Hazan is just as deserving of a shot at the gold. 9-0 in his career thus far the Italian native will step onto home turf in tremendous form. Winning his last four Cage Warriors bouts, he’s undeniable at this point.
Of his nine wins, five have come before the final bell all of which via TKO. Almost a challenger for the flyweight championship a mishap on the scales prevented the bout from happening. But now up ten pounds expect Hazan to be ready and to bring the fight.
