Cédric Doumbé didn’t have to wait long before Bellator was able to find him a replacement fighter.
Cédric Doumbé Has a New Opponent
The French superstar Cédric Doumbé will now face Jaleel Willis at Bellator Paris which will take place on May 17. This event will take place at the Accor Arena in Paris, France. Doumbé was supposed to be facing Derek Anderson however, he has been forced to withdraw due to suffering a nasty foot injury.
Willis will be making his 8th appearance under the Bellator banner and his 1st since the merger with the PFL. Willis will be looking to bounce back after suffering a defeat to Ramazan Kuramagomedov at Bellator 297. This was a first-round TKO back in June 2023. He is entering this event having lost 3 of his last 4 fights.
Cédric Looking for a Bounce Back Victory
Cédric Doumbé is looking to get back into the win column after losing in his most recent fight against Maysangur Chamsoudinov at PFL Europe 1. A very controversial referee stoppage was the cause of his most recent defeat. The former Glory Kickboxing champion is one of the most promising fighters under the PFL banner. He will be stepping into the Bellator cage for the first time.
Patchy Mix Headlining Bellator Paris
Patchy Mix and Magomed Magomedov will fight each other for the Bantamweight Title as the main event for Bellator Paris. This fight will be a rematch after Mix was able to defeat Magomedov due to a guillotine choke in the first round last year. Magomedov will be looking to seek his revenge however, will Mix be able to show why he is the champion and defend his title?
Originally the event was meant to be headlined by Usman Nurmagomedov. Due to an injury he has been forced to withdraw.
