Iranian MMA fighter Ali Heibati receives a lifetime ban following his debut at Hardcore Fight Championship on the weekend
This past weekend Hardcorde MMA 90 descended into madness after Ali Heibati lost his head before his debut fight. Former kickboxer Heibati was set to fight Armenian Arkadiy Ospiyan (11-6-0) at the HFC in Moscow. In an impulsive outburst, the Iranian lashed out at the ring girl kicking her as she walked past before the fight got underway.
After the strange act ring girl Maria approached the fighter in shock to question him about his actions causing the referee to separate the two. Regardless of the obscure opener, the fight went ahead. It did not last long however with opponent Ospiyan dispatching the controversial Heibati by TKO inside 30 seconds.
But the show was not over for Ali Heibati.
Chaos Unfolds After MMA Debutant Ali Heibati Kicks Ring Girl
As victorious Ospiyan returned to his corner in celebration an enraged Ali Heibati chased after him attacking the oblivious Armenian from behind. HFC officials coaches and security flooded the octagon to rectify the storm unfolding in the arena.
After the chaos had seemingly simmered down Ali took to the mic for his post-fight interview but when asked about the events that had unfolded the madness escalated once again. In a heated debate with a member of the HFC commentary team, Heibati threw a kick at the presenter. Further disorder ensued as Ali Heibati left the octagon several fans turned on the fighter attacking him as he fled the arena.
He went on to address the situation on social media in an attempt at reconciliation:
“I was very nervous and, as most people understand. My escalating emotions before the fight made me act inappropriately with Maria. I want to publicly apologize to her. I have a family so I respect women very much.”
The apology was evidently insufficient however as HFC handed Heibati a lifetime ban for his erratic outburst. A somewhat satisfying conclusion prevailed as ring girl Maria was compensated for the trouble by being awarded Heibati’s fight prize money.
