In his most recent victory, in which he secured a TKO victory against Orion Cosce at UFC Fight Night 223 in May 2023, he was able to showcase his striking ability. However, Urbina has also experienced setbacks, such as a submission loss to TUF winner Bryan Battle in August 2021 at UFC on ESPN 30.
Charles Radtke
Charles Radtke, known as “Chuck Buffalo,” carries a record of 8 wins and 3 losses into the fight. Radtke’s victories are well-distributed across knockouts (3), submissions (2), and decisions (3). His recent performances include a unanimous decision win over Mike Mathetha at UFC 293 in September 2023, demonstrating his endurance and game planning. Radtke’s background includes a notable victory via submission against Raheam Forest in April 2023, highlighting his grappling prowess.
Both Urbina and Radtke are in the next wave of middleweight talent looking to break into the top 15, and they have their chance tonight to take one step closer when they open the main card.
Charles Radtke Stops
Radtke started well, and looked as measured and composed in the opening several minutes of the first-round. He was the calculated aggressor finding Urbina with several jabs and left hooks. The pressure from Radtke was the game-changer, and with 60-seconds left, Radtke dropped Urbina with the left hook twice, and on the second stopping him flush. Fundamentally beautiful from Radtke.
Official result: Chris Radtke def. Gilbert Urbina by TKO in round one.
