Charlie Boulton believes Saturday night will be a breakout performance for him.
The professional MMA fighter is coming of an exceptional debut win where he stopped Conor Lee at Kingdom Combat 4 within the first fifteen seconds of the very first round. Looking to continue where he left off, Boulton will clash with Omar Sargent at Battle Arena 77 in Coventry, England.
Ahead of fight night, we caught up with a well prepared Charlie Boutlon. Hear what he had to say below.
Interview With Charlie Boulton
You’re all set to make the walk for the second time as professional. What can fans expect this time round from you? You can’t top your pro-debut, can you?
Expect the unexpected.
On that performance, for those who don’t know, you dispatched of Conor Lee within the first fifteen seconds. From the outside in, it would seem hard to take much from them 15-seconds. But in your own assessment, what would you take from that debut win?
It was a late replacement due to my original opponent pulling out, so not much at all. I don’t believe anybody has seen anything yet from me I’m only just getting started and it starts with Omar on Saturday night.
Now having made the walk and got that first vital win under your belt. Prior to your debut, did you set any small/large goals for yourself?
Just to take out whoever is infront of me at that time and everything else will take care of itself.
Charlie Boulton Talks Omar Sargent
You face a solid Omar Sargent this weekend in Coventry. What are your initial thoughts when you look back on his resume and what he has to offer?
He’s got experience against good opposition at amateur like myself too so I believe that makes for a good matchup.
Omar recently made his professional debut on Battle Arena Northampton a few months back. Have you managed to watch that fight back? If so, were you impressed with the skills he showed on the night?
I’ve watched it, and he did what he had to do. I just see what I need to see and run with that as far as tape.
When you envision this fight playing out in your head, do you anticipate Omar brining something to the cage that you’ve not seen before after studying him or have you got an answer for everything you seen during tape?
Saturday night all is revealed that’s what is exciting I just know I’m ready for all sequences in there.
What to Expect
Finally, what can the Battle Arena faithful expect to see from Charlie Boulton this weekend? Do you have any last words for Omar ahead of battle?
I trust this will be a breakout performance for me and I’m coming to put it right on him, so all the best.
