Charlie Dando is entering his BMF 7 clash with Kai Hanshaw in a great place, and is eager to put on a show for the BMF faithful.
BMF continue to go from strength to strength and expect no different when they return on October 7th.
Ahead of his fight, we had the chance to talk with Charlie Dando, to see how he’s feeling ahead of battle.
Interview With Charlie Dando
Charlie, you’re all set to make the walk once again on October 7th. How are you feeling physically and mentally since your last outing?
I believe im physically and mentally the best place I could be right now. After a slight lay, I’m ready to get back in there and get the job done.
On your last outing, you suffered a loss on Battle Arena. Upon reflecting, what went wrong, and most importantly, what was your biggest lesson?
I could spend all day talking about what I could or should have done, but at the end of the day, I didn’t; I went five rounds with someone with 20+ amateur bouts. For me, its all lessons to take into my career; as much as I would have loved to get the win, it wasn’t my day.
Mindset
It’s been six months. Where’s the mindset after a slight break from the cage?
2 Fights to finish off the year, and 4/5 next year if everything goes to plan, and then we will go from there.
You were scheduled to fight Tamas Jakab on the BMF’s show earlier in the year. Why was that fight cancelled, and how frustrating was it to not be able to get that strap wrapped around your belt?
The fight was cancelled due to me badly injuring my ankle. I was looking forward to fighting and competing for that strap, and the injury was incredibly frustrating for me.
Kai Hanshaw is the man across the cage from you. What do you feel about this matchup on paper?
I’m not really too bothered about who I’m fighting. At the end of the day, everyone has two arms and two legs, and I’m sure he’s going to come to take my head off, so I’ll need to be switched on as always.
Tape on Kai
He stands at 1-2. The last two fights have seen him drop two on the bounce. Have you had the opportunity to watch them? If so, what do you think?
His last two performances don’t matter; his performance against me does, and I need to ensure I am better than him in all ranges and aspects of the fight.
Finally, leave us with your official prediction, how you see the fight playing out, and what you expect from Kai.
Finish.
