British MMA veteran, Charlie Leary has signed a new multi-fight deal with Bellator. The 39-year-old made the announcement on his socials where he thanked his team and sponsors.
Charlie Leary and Bellator
Leary has been fighting with the promotion since 2018 and has experienced a roller coaster of a run. “917″‘s last fight ended in defeat in Paris as the judges awarded the decision to his opponent – Soren Bak. A decision which didn’t go down well with Leary and his fans.
The fight was taken on just two weeks’ notice and it’s clear that the Englishman will be ready to bounce back soon enough.
In the last couple of years, the Brit has had two bouts cancelled and is currently riding a two-fight losing streak. Despite this, the Team Crossfade fighter is known for bouncing back from a loss. Two of his three wins with Bellator have ended via finish.
What’s Next?
After making his professional debut in 2010, he has made his way through several promotions. His record stands at 17-13-1.
Only time will tell who Leary will face off against next. However, there is officially no doubt that it will be under Bellator banners. Who do you want to see the British veteran come up against next?
