The Fight
Round 1: Charlie Ward storms forward throwing big huge shots. Taking the centre of the cage Ward stays in control. Alan Carlos fights back with some heavy leg kicks, but Ward pushes through and lands a massive overhand right. All the pressure forces Carlos back to the cage, who fights back with some strong punches of his own to alleviate that pressure. The end of the round sees both men swinging for the KO but it’s surprisingly Alan who lands the best shot. Rockem Sockem Robots to end the round
Round 2: Charlie Ward once again starts fast shooting out the gate and scoring the takedown against the fence. Controlling Alan for the entire round, Ward did great work landing big shots to keep the Brazilian at bay. Elbows and punches cause the majority of the damage for Charlie who cut Alan open. He takes the round. Good game plan for the Irishman.
Round 3: After his successful round 2 Charlie seems to have the perfect path to victory. Starting this round as he ended the second Charlie is on top of his now bleeding opponent. Putting in the work once again Ward is grinding the Brazilian down and on his way to an impressive win. Charlie takes the fight via decisions with a gruelling and relentless ground and pound display.
