Newly signed UFC athlete Chris Duncan announced he will partner up with Scottish mixed martial arts promotion Goliath Fight Series to host and co-promote alongside founder Steven Harris.
Goliath Fight Series was founded this year with Goliath MMA gym owner Harris venturing out and eager to build his own reputable show in Scotland. Their first event went down on August 14th at the Glen Pavillion in Dunfermline, and the show was a gigantic success for all those involved.
Following the first show’s success, Harris is currently putting together his second show in quick succession, which is set to go down on Sunday, November 6th, at the Glen Pavillion in Dunfermline. However, this time Harris has the help of Duncan, who made the announcement on his Facebook:
Chris Duncan Joins Forces with Goliath Fight Series
“Massive announcement. I’ve joined partnership with @goliathfightseries_gfs to host and co-promote mma and grappling with Steven Harris, the founder of Goliath. Going forward, we will be putting on a show in May of next year near Stirling/ Alloa area alongside ones in fife and up north. We will be looking to make the most exciting matchups and offering the best for our fighters and grapplers, with some exciting incentives. Going forward, anyone interested in fighting or sponsorship in the event, please don’t hesitate to ask or even put your name forward early. Thank you.”
Duncan (9-1 MMA) is coming off the most significant victory of his career, which saw him earn a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series in August. The 29-year-old landed a viral knockout over Charlie Campbell after facing some early adversity, which left UFC President Dana White speechless.
Regarding Duncan’s next fight, things are still up in the air, with nothing at the moment pencilled in. In the meantime, putting his attention to helping the growth of martial arts in Scotland sounds like a good move.
