“The Problem” has no issues accepting short notice fights, embodying the phrase ”anytime, anyplace, anywhere”.
Chris Duncan has stepped up. Although the European lightweight contender is signed to top promotion Cage Warriors, he has been allowed the luxury of accepting a short notice fight at UFL (Ultimate Fight League) on Saturday, 5th February.
Competing against Brazil’s Jonathan Carlos in the welterweight division, ”The Problem” aims to get back in the win column following his defeat on Dana White’s Contender Series at the tail end of 2021.
Duncan has spoken in interviews this past weekend at Almighty Fighting Championship, claiming his mindset has changed entirely and that he is in more of a position to compete for his own passion rather than the support of others.
Duncan owns an impressive 100% finishing rate in his victories and will look to keep that intact against the Brazilian. That may prove to be a challenge against the man standing opposite him. Jonathan Carlos has a very impressive chin and is coming off a stoppage victory himself.
Although on short notice, the fight is one with plenty of eyes on it. A win for “The Problem” puts him in a prime position to work back to the UFC, and a win for Carlos proves he can hang with Europe’s elite. Keep your eyes on this bout, and expect fireworks throughout.
