UK Fighting Championships announced yet another high-level fight for their March 12th card. Amateur light welterweight champion Chris Morris will be taking on undefeated challenger Danny Naismith in what is set to be his first defence of the strap.
Chris Morris vs. Danny Naismith
Naismith is a very tough contender in his own right. As an amateur, he stands at 6-0 and is already a champion for another promotion in Almighty FC. Force Fitness’s prospect will be ready for a war. Winning the Almighty Fighting Championship welterweight title in his last fight, it looks as if that wasn’t enough as Naismith is coming down a weight class to attempt to add another to his collection.
Chris Morris, however, is champion for a reason. 7-1 with six finishes, it is clear he doesn’t have the judges in mind. After winning the belt in his last outing, Morris is returning, intending to add another name to his growing list of finishes.
As mentioned previously, Naismith is no rollover. He won’t go down quickly and will bring the fight to the champion. At amateur, that’s all anybody can ask for. Don’t be mistaken by this being an amateur bout, though. These two men are incredibly high-level athletes. They are honing their crafts in the hopes of one day succeeding as a professional within the sport, and a high-level fight like this sets them up nicely for that eventuality.
UKFC will have a stacked card on the 12th that is more than worth tuning in for. This title fight only adds to the watch ability of the event itself. Tune in yourself to watch this fight among others, and show your support to everyone involved!
