A video of Claressa Shields getting knocked down has surfaced on social media.
Claressa Shields is a undefeated boxer with a record of 14 wins. Two of those victories coming by way of knockout. In just her third bout, the 28 year old American won the vacant the WBC Super Silver Middle title. The self proclaimed “Greatest Woman of all Time” didn’t stop there. Currently holding the IBF, WBC, WBO and WBA middleweight championships. The first woman to do so in boxing. Shields has also dipped her toes in MMA competing at the PFL. The boxer won her first professional MMA fight by TKO in the third round whilst her second fight was a loss on the scorecards.
Today on social media, Arturs Ahmetovs, a 6-1 boxer who hasn’t competed since 2020, posted a video on social media of him knocking down the “GWOAT” during sparring.
The footage is from a sparring session in 2018.

This set off many debates online, including Claressa Shields going off in X. Shields claims that Arthur has removed some patting on in his gloves. A series of tweets followed.
“I’ve never been Ko’d in 17 years and I’ve been dropped 2x all in a week of each other. I have no shame in that. But for a male fighter to literally take the padding out his gloves, he’s a punk. Him and coach Derrick santos are bad for the sport!”
“I have no problem getting caught in sparring it happens and I Sparr majority Men! But this dude Arthur and his coach Derrick santos were embarrassed and next time we sparred he purposely wore gloves with no little to no padding, I can’t make this up. I couldn’t believe it“
“Check your sparring partner gloves. People be offended that I do that now. But after being knocked down by a guy who was upset I pieced him up earlier that week, I do it every sparring session since 2018.“

All things considered, if the gloves were less patted or not, it would never be clear. Arthur Ahmetovs hasn’t competed in over 3 years now and only fought 7 times professionally. Meanwhile, Shields is moving back and forth between boxing and MMA and has never been knocked out in either sport. Also, due to the lack of sparring partners for Shields, she’s been sparring man at the gym and there is no other videos or words that she’s been knocked down or KO in the Gym. As a result of training MMA, she also trained with the likes of Jon Jones.
Shields recently announced she signed a multi fight deal with the PFL and is set to return to MMA in 2024.
