Colby Covington has claimed that he knows all of Jon Jones “dirty secrets” and says that Jones is refusing to share a UFC event with him.
Covington continued to uphold his nickname ‘Chaos’ and made some extreme claims about UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones.
Colby Covington on Jon Jones
Speaking on Michael Bisping’s Youtube channel, Covington said, “Is Jon Jones going to be willing to share a card with his former college roommate, who knows all his dirty secrets. All the dirty skeletons in his closet? I bet that he’s going over to the UFC right now and he’s telling them, ‘Yo, I’m not sharing a card with Colby. I will refuse to fight here’.”
“A little birdie told me that he went backstage with the big dogs of the UFC and said he refuses to share a card with me. So they’re gonna give him what he wants. They don’t want to ruin their New York show and they’re still hoping he shows up but they need a backup plan. He’s not reliable. I’m the ultimate company man.”
“When I say, and I give my word to the UFC that I’m showing up, I’m showing up. I’ve never, ever pulled out of one fight. I’m always the ultimate professional and that’s what I do best. The UFC knows they can rely on me. That’s why I’m in this position. It sucks that Jon doesn’t want to share a card and it wouldn’t even be talking s***, it would just be talking truth. If you can’t handle the truth in today’s society then go get a safe space.”

Colby Covington and Jon Jones Beef
‘Chaos’ and ‘Bones’ were once college roommates together. They wrestled at the same college in Iowa but in recent times, their relationship has crashed and burned.
Covington has consistently made it his duty to shine a light on all of Jones’ past discrepancies. Colby has continually called Jones out on some of his behaviours and claimed that Jones wasn’t reliable. He stated that Jones might go and “sniff some white girls”, and told Bisping to ask Jones about an incident involving attacking somebody with a baseball bat.
Jones has a history of arrests and charges that have seen him have a turbulent UFC career. Colby has made it his mission statement to highlight each of these incidents and it is clear that there is no love lost between the two.
MSG or No MSG?
Jones will face Stipe Miocic in the main event at UFC 295 on November 11th. Covington was expected to be involved in the co-main event taking on welterweight champion, Leon Edwards.
With Colby’s latest allegations that Jones doesn’t want to share a card with him, it appears that Leon Vs Colby may be moved elsewhere. Something which has clearly irritated Covington.
Should the two be booked onto the same card, the UFC would certainly need to increase the security procedures at the venues. The idea of Colby and Jon being sat at the same presser is certainly an exciting prospect. However, for the UFC bosses, this may cause a headache.
Colby has never been one to hold back and his boundaries are non-existent. Most recently, his words got him into a spot of trouble when he was attacked in a restaurant by Jorge Masvidal. ‘Chaos’ received a cracked tooth for his troubles. Covington and Masvidal have been in a legal dispute ever since. Of course, it doesn’t appear to have deterred Colby from being Colby.
He is as outspoken as always but Jones may not be a bear that he wants to continually prod. Colby has shown, he isn’t one to tread on eggshells. However, this may be one battle that he should stay away from.
Will Jones and Colby share the MSG card? Would you like to see them both at the same press conference? Where does Leon Edwards Vs Colby Covington end up, if not at MSG? Let us know in the comments section.
