Here at Combat Sports UK we have been lucky to get some amazing interviews with some badass fighters who took time out of their busy schedule to discuss upcoming fights with us.
Our very own Cooper Burke had the luxury of sitting down with UFC Featherweight Kyle Nelson. He will fight Bill Algeo on March 30th.
Kyle discussed many topics with Cooper. Among such things, as his weight cutting, fighting in the Apex, and wanting to fight in his home country of Canada.
During his interview, Nelson discussed his new weight cut, how it is a transition, and how he is adjusting and tweaking the little things.
“It’s been pretty smooth you know, I mean with everything with mixed martial arts you’re always adjusting and tweaking little things and I’ve been fighting long enough now that we’ve got a pretty good system built up.”
Kyle Nelson “The Apex was cool when it first kind of came in”
With so many fans being sour about how many events are taking place in the UFC Apex. Nelson gave his thoughts;
“The Apex was cool when it first kind of came in, but now it sounds like even the fans are not super excited about Apex fights and stuff anymore. I definitely prefer the crowd even though I’m generally always the away guy, I still prefer having the crowd there while I fight as opposed to the Apex.”
“The Apex was cool the first time I fought there it was so quiet and you can hear your coaches and it’s very similar to training, but there’s definitely something different about having the crowd there.”
Check out this great interview with Kyle Nelson. It 100% will make you a fan of “The Monster”. Combat Sports UK appreciates the time he gave to Cooper as the interview was very insightful.
Kyle Nelson fights on March 30th live from Atlantic City, NJ against Bill Algeo.
