Combate Global Reveals Historic Transition to YouTube
On Tuesday, February 25, 2025, CombateGlobal shook the dynamics of MMA to its core. Combate Global announced in a post on X that they were back! Returning on Univision, shocking the MMA world with the news, now live free on YouTube. Combated Global gets the bragging rights as YouTubes first premium producer of MMA globally distributed. Kicking things off March 13th with ‘Combate Female’ an event of all lady killers streaming free on YouTube at 8 pm ET. Combate Global founder Cambell Mclaren stated, “With YouTube in our corner as it grows its interest in live sports, Combate Global will be able to achieve its mission of delivering much more action to a global Spanish-speaking audience via the biggest streaming video platform on the planet.”
Combate Americas Competitive Reality Series
Combate Global founded in 2011 started its early stages as Combate Americas. In December 2013 Mun2 greenlit a 10-fighter reality series hosted by Chino Y Chino with Daddy Yankee as the first commissioner. The winner of Combate Americas would win an exclusive contract with the promotion. C.E.O and founder Campbell Mclaren has stated that the company ” was specifically created to resent the best new Hispanic fighters and to introduce a whole new audience to this highly entertaining sport.” The finale of Combate Americas saw Ismael Leon take home the featherweight crown, as Danny Morales became the welterweight champion. The series won the Imagen Award for Best Reality Series and the Cabelfax Award for Best Competitive Series.

The mastermind behind Combate Global is none other than Campbell McLaren. Co-creator of the UFC was also named the 10th most influential person in the UFC’s history by ESPN. Under McLaren’s leadership, Combate Global has grown to 385 million views across all social platforms.
