Conor McGregor, ex-UFC champion denied allegations connected to an unnamed woman claiming he sexually assaulted her at game four of the NBA finals.
McGregor’s representatives told TMZ exclusively that “allegations are false” in a statement made on Thursday morning. McGregor, familiar with allegations made against him, had previously been sued by a woman claiming to have been raped by McGregor in a hotel penthouse back in 2018.
Letters released to TMZ by attorney Ariel Mitchell state: “Security refused to let [the woman] exit or allow anyone else, including her friend, inside the bathroom.” The lawyer then claimed McGregor emerged from inside a handicap stall “and shoved his tongue in the victim’s mouth and aggressively kissed her.”
The UFC has released a short statement of its own confirming its stance on the situation. “UFC will allow the legal process to play out before making any additional statements.”
The Miami Heat also took to social media to express their views. “We are aware of the allegations and are conducting a full investigation. Pending the outcome of the investigation we will withhold further comment”
This incident occurred on the same evening as the now world-famous clip of McGregor sending the Heat mascot “Burnie” to the hospital after dropping him with a left straight before following up with a hammer fist.
Progress on Conor McGregor
Conor McGregor still hasn’t entered the USADA testing pool as of the 15th of June 2023 which spells bad news for any fans wishing to see him back in the octagon before the end of the calendar year.
The latest series of The Ultimate Fighter is currently three episodes deep and as is the nature of the program, we expect/ed to see McGregor take on the opposite coach Michael Chandler in a contest towards the end of the year, however, that now looks unlikely.
