Conor McGregor and his venture into the world of cinema is making waves, particularly with his daring first scene in the upcoming film, “Road House”.
McGregor, known for his prowess in the UFC Octagon, is now set to grace the screens alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in this eagerly anticipated release, hitting Amazon Prime Video globally on Thursday (March 21).

In a surprising turn, McGregor strips down for his role as Knox, a hired mercenary, baring all for a striking 55 seconds. His decision to go nude has raised eyebrows, with McGregor himself admitting, “It was a little too much a**. Just a little too much.” Nevertheless, he remains unabashed, asserting, “I’m just here to perform. I thought, ‘I’ll do it. I don’t mind’. It’ll shock people.”
Inspired by his “good friend” Arnold Schwarzenegger’s iconic scene in “The Terminator”, McGregor found motivation to push boundaries:
“If Arnie did it, and look at his career, I said maybe I’m onto something,” McGregor explains, channelling his inner Terminator for the role.
As McGregor’s family, including his mother Margaret, attended the premiere in London, McGregor couldn’t help but feel a twinge of apprehension. “My mother… is about to see the movie for the first time and I have told her nothing,” McGregor reveals with a hint of humour. “So, mother, there’s a scene – I hope you enjoy it!”
With McGregor’s foray into acting, fans eagerly await his debut on the big screen, ready to witness a new side to the UFC icon.
Conor McGregor expressed his desire to get back into training to return to the UFC Octagon once the promotional tour of the film is complete. The former two-weight division super star’s likely return fight would see him take on Michael Chandler, a former Bellator MMA champion.
However, nothing’s been set in stone as of yet, with the UFC still to make an announcement.
