Conor McGregor is predicting that the queen of spinning elbows, Molly McCann, has the ability to stop Valentina Shevchenko fanatically if the pair are to meet.
Shevchenko is at the top of the mountain when the greatest female fighter of all time is debated. The 34-year-old captured the UFC flyweight title in 2018 when defeating Joanna Jedrzejczyk and has gone on to defend her title a total of seven times, and convincingly.
On the other hand, McCann has been on a tear recently, crushing everyone in her path in a viral fashion. The Liverpudlian’s career was in doubt after losing two fights back-to-back. Essentially fighting for her career, McCann defeated Ji Yeon Kim, Luana Carolina, and Hannah Goldy to bounce back. She now stands as one of the most popular fighters in the sport today.
During a piece of content with The MacLife, McCann revealed a message she was sent from McGregor after seeking advice. McGregor shared his words of wisdom and made a strong statement revealing she would be the one to dethrone Shevchenko.
Conor McGregor Shares Advice to Molly McCann
“You’re the UFC women’s champion, I know it. You’re going to sleep Valentina. When you know, you know baby. Nothing will ever stop that. Enjoy your newfound fame and keep the team tight and know the limit with the time you give. Just consider it a new job somewhat… and then train for real as if it’s Cage Warriors still, ’cause that’s what it is and that’s what we are, Cage Warriors.” McGregor said
November 12th, UFC 281, Maddison Square Garden, in New York, is when McCann will take her next step at getting closer to the world title. Erin Blanchfield is the woman who stands in the way of McCann winning four consecutive fights.
