Conor McGregor has taken to Twitter to call Justin Gaethje brain dead after the latter said he’d quit, should Conor be granted another title shot.
Returning to the MMA limelight after time away to heal his broken ankle. McGregor has wasted no time getting right into the thick of things and stirring things up.
Expected to make an in-cage return later this year. He’ll take on Michael Chandler as the pair face off as opposing coaches on the 31st season of TUF. Already rubbing Chandler the wrong way. It appears McGregor is also under the skin of fellow lightweight contender Justin Gaethje.
Justin Gaethje Claims He Will Quit if a Title Shot Goes to McGregor
Speaking in an interview with ESPN Gaethje said the following.
“Would I quit if Conor won and they gave him a title shot? Probably,” “That’s how hurt I would be by the actions of the company I represent. But that’s out of my control. I just really hope that doesn’t happen.
“We can imagine a lot of things, but there’s a possibility that that’s the scenario, which I would be devastated, for sure.”

Gaethje, who has a win over Michael Chandler. Most recently competed at UFC 286 where he scored a fight-of-the-night decision victory over Rafael Fiziev.
Conor McGregor Responds To Justin Gaethje Via Twitter
Taking to Twitter, as he does most times he has words for someone. McGregor would lambast Gaethje and tweet the following.
“This braindead fool got a title shot off of one single win and it was vs chandler. Yet he will quit and retire if I get the same thing. Classic [Gaethje] bird brain. #Jackass Two Title attempt. No wins. #geathje”
He has since deleted the tweet and it can no longer be found on his account.
