Conor McGregor vs Donald Cerrone
The pair fought back in January 2020 when McGregor made his hugely anticipated return to the octagon. A year and a half after his loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov, Just under three years since he dipped his feet into the boxing waters against Floyd Mayweather. McGregor would end the fight early, after landing a perfect 40-second knockout after a barrage of punches.
Leading up to the fight, McGregor, contrary to his previous opponents, had nothing but positive words to say about Cerrone and even had the same post-fight.
Cerrone joins a stacked Hall Of Fame class that contains the likes of; Jose Aldo, Jens Pulver, and Anderson Silva.
Throughout his remarkably long career, Cerrone was famed for never backing away from a scrap. Also, being famed for his vicious fighting style, always looking for highlight reel finishes, and his willingness to fight anyone, anywhere, anytime. This is perfectly epitomized by the fact he owns the record for most post-fight bonuses in UFC history. Plus, the other countless records he’s set along the way.
Cerrone has left behind a legacy that will be discussed for years. A very valid inclusion into the Hall Of Fame.
