Conor McGregor’s latest social media attack was recently aimed at Charles Oliveira after predicting Michael Chandler to beat McGregor in their fight after their season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter‘. Dana White announced last month that McGregor would be returning to the UFC to act as a coach for the newest season of TUF, alongside one of the most exciting fighters in the division, Michael Chandler.
In 2021 McGregor snapped his legs during his fight with Dustin Poirier and has been in rehab. Now announced to return against Michael Chandler not only but also as a coach for the new season of TUF.
In May of 2021, Oliveira knocked out Chandler in their bout to determine the lightweight champion of the world post-Khabib’s retirement. During his reign as champion, he called out McGregor multiple times trying to get that fight to materialise but never did come to reality much to everyone’s disappointment.
Now coming off a loss to Islam Makhachev last October, Oliveira is now just another contender in the division. Also now scheduled to fight Beneil Dariush in May to determine who will challenge Makhachev next.
During His Latest MMA Hour Interview, Oliveira Had This to Say on Conor McGregor’s Chances Against Michael Chandler
I don’t think he’s going to win. I mean, he’s a guy that sells and he’s great to promote. People love his fights, but I don’t think he’s going to win.
I believe Chandler is an explosive fighter. McGregor hasn’t fought in a long time, so I believe Chandler is going to win.

A couple of hours later following Oliveira’s comments, McGregor quickly jumped to Twitter to remind everybody that he is undefeated against Brazilians, having beaten Jose Aldo and Diego Bra
Charles Oliveira shut your pie hole. 2-0. Actually 3-0 because Rda [Rafael dos Anjos] s*** a brick. Brazil I love your land. I enjoy it,” he wrote in since-deleted posts on Twitter.

Of course, McGregor is subject to criticism a lot being such a big star. Having responded brashly to many other fighters including Britain’s own Tom Aspinall. Aspinall later said that other fights excite him more than the return of McGregor.
Aspinall says he didn’t mean to offend McGregor and confesses that he was a little surprised by how easy it was to upset the former double champion. Especially as McGregor can so easily hand out the insults but not handle taking them back as easily.
