Conor McGregor made his opinions known, and thus was one of the few MMA fans happy about the result in Noche UFC’s title fight.
The ‘Notorious’ was watching from home along with the rest of world. Alexa Grasso retained the Flyweight championship after a split-draw against former champ Valentina Shevchenko last night in Las Vegas.
The Mexican starlet shocked the world earlier this year, submitting long-time champion and potential ‘GWOAT’ Shevchenko. In the rematch this weekend, Grasso and Shevchenko traded killer blows for 25 mins in a fight which could’ve quite easily gone either way.

The Irishman was evidently happy with what he had just witnessed and immediately talked up the prospect of a trilogy fight between Grasso and Shevchenko.
He subsequently tweeted: “An absolute corker of a fight!… All timer in WMMA [in my opinion]. And it ends in a draw!
“Wow, wow, wow! Well done Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko! Incredible!”
He later continued: “Fair draw. Valentina unlucky for sure but a draw is fair in my opinion, run it back. Viva Mexico!”
The World Reacts to Noche UFC Result
Whilst McGregor was happy with the result. Not everyone around the world was in agreement. With many voicing their opinions and criticisms of the decision.
Judge Mike Bell, came under scrutiny for his decisive scorecard. Scoring the final round 10-8 in favour of the champion, with Valentina leading 3-1 up until that point.
Shevchenko immediately voiced her dissatisfaction at the result, saying in her post fight interview;
“I think it really was 3-2 on my side…But the judges I think felt a little bit of pressure because it’s Mexican Independence Day, that’s why they give one more to the Mexican fighter.”
She continued, “I fought to the end, and I think I did enough. In a fair competition, the victory would be mine.”
