Jake Paul stopped Mike Perry inside six rounds on Saturday night, prompting a swift response from Conor McGregor, who didn’t hold back after Paul’s latest boxing victory.
Following Jake Paul’s knockout win over Mike Perry at the Amalie Arena, UFC icon Conor McGregor launched into a tirade against ‘The Problem Child.’ Paul secured the victory with a sixth-round KO, having already knocked the MMA fighter down in the earlier rounds.
Paul, 26, has repeatedly challenged McGregor to a boxing match. Despite his efforts to provoke the Irish superstar, no official bout has been arranged yet.
In response to Paul’s win, McGregor took to social media, hurling insults at the American and criticizing his anticipated match with boxing legend Mike Tyson. McGregor also insinuated that Paul was using performance-enhancing substances and avoiding proper testing.
“Jake Paul is the biggest ——- I have ever seen in my life. 40 pound weight difference, juiced out of his head, and still shitting himself in there,” McGregor exclaimed. “Nakisa you should take him to Vegas oh that’s right you could never, the athletic commission testing, real testing, real fighting. —– —–. You could never. And then calling out 60-year-old Mike Tyson fresh off an in-flight medical emergency? I swear to god, a fat can of —– —-. Most valuable ——-.”

As a part-owner of BKFC, McGregor also announced he would be releasing Mike Perry from the promotion. He expressed his decision in a series of now-deleted tweets: “Hey Mike you’re released and you can go and compete in your smelly dirty boxing championship thing, the smell of it, good luck,” McGregor stated. “You’re fired. @BareKnuckleFC. Dirty boxing championship with MMA sparring gloves? Lol. Enjoy that, lad, smell ya later.”
Despite his loss, Perry showed sportsmanship by praising Paul’s performance. Perry was a last-minute replacement for the bout, initially scheduled against Tyson at the AT&T Stadium in Texas, but due to Tyson’s unforeseen medical issues, Perry stepped in.
Reflecting on the match, Perry acknowledged Paul’s skills: “I was trying to roll with the punches and hit your ass back, but you did a great job, you were way too fast for me and I couldn’t adjust,” he said. “The first round when you knocked me down you were just too heavy, just kinda knocked me over and didn’t even rock me. But later on, you did a good job, congratulations.”
Perry also commented on his resilience and the challenge Paul presented: “I’m fine, it’s a normal day for me but he hit me a little harder than some of my training partners, that’s all. He was too fast and he adjusted. Practice makes perfect. He’s not sitting there waiting to be hit like me. I was trying to find the timing but he was just too clean and too fast.”
What’s Next for Paul?
Jake Paul remains eager to face Mike Tyson, despite the significant age gap between them. “Mike Tyson,” Paul declared. “You’re next. Sign the contract. I’m excited for that one, I’m going to go home and prepare for that one. It’s happening, Nov. 15.”
“Mike Tyson is training, he’s back, looking crazier than ever. I’m going to get another KO and prove everyone wrong once again. Everyone said I was an idiot for taking this fight, that I was risking it but this is why I’m here, I take big risks. Mike, I love you but this is my sport now. You’re a legend, you’re one of the two most famous boxers ever to live, you and Muhammad Ali. It’s an honour to get in the ring with you. I’m so, so honoured; you’re a legend, but I’m going to take your throne.”
The combat sports world remains captivated by Paul’s bold moves and McGregor’s fiery responses, keeping fans eagerly awaiting what’s next in this unfolding drama.
