Conor McGregor’s comeback could be on the horizon, with the ‘Notorious’ one sharing footage of himself throwing heavy kicks at the heavy bag.
UFC 264 last summer saw the UFC superstar suffer a horrifying leg break in his trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier, which led many to believe McGregor may be done in mixed martial arts competition. The break meant McGregor would undergo surgery and indulge in a long path to recovery, which he has updated his fans on.
In typical McGregor fashion, he has been calling for multiple names on social media, including UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. However, no date or opponent has been pencilled in ahead of the Irishman’s return.
Conor McGregor Lands Kicks on Heavy Bag
“Something like a phenomenon! @tidlsport, @walmart.”
It would have been easy for McGregor to walk away from the sport after acquiring generational wealth and becoming a two-weight division champion, but he’s giving it his all to be the man at the top of the ladder once more.
It remains to be seen if the 33-year-old will return to the lightweight division after the notable increase in weight. Still, has toyed with the idea of challenging at welterweight.
Who do you think would be a good matchup for Conor McGregor upon his return?
