Conor McGregor has vowed he was “simply acting” in his recent verbal exchange with Michael Bisping.
The pair have gone back and forth on Twitter the last fortnight, with McGregor taking to Twitter, and Bisping responding on his own podcast, Believe You Me. After Bisping jokingly said McGregor would need security if the two were to be in each other’s presence, McGregor sent a rather aggressive voice note.
Conor McGregor Fires at Michael Bisping
“Do you want to go to war, man, yeah?” The Irishman voiced via a Twitter voice note. “Do you want to go to f***ing war? We’ll go to war with you, yeah?
“Security. You little sausage of a thing. I’ll have security set you up […] when you’re in Vegas again, pal.
“Keep my name out of your f***ing mouth again, or any type of threatening behaviour or I’ll walk through your front door. You little dope. [Go] back where you belong, you little clown, you little sprinter.”
Bisping returned to the Believe You Me podcast with co-host Anthony Smith to downplay the whole situation and confirm it was all light-hearted banter on his end:
“It’s a f*****g joke. Obviously, there were no threats on my end whatsoever. But he kind of flipped a lid, didn’t he? He lost his mind.
“Anyway, Conor, relax, buddy. Jesus Christ. There you go.”
The former two-division champ then followed suit, responding by another Twitter voice note, and claimed it was just “acting” on his part.
“Hey, Mike, it’s Conor here. I saw you didn’t understand that I was simply acting.
“I thought you would’ve known. Brother, all love, my man. God bless the show, God bless the fam, and God bless my man. Oh, yeah!”
