News has just broken confirming that Conor McGregor Vs Michael Chandler will coach against each other on the upcoming series of TUF. Two of the UFC’s most exciting to-watch fighters will go head to head in the famous TUF house.
McGregor has already come out publicly to say a coaching position on TUF was already offered to him. Speculation was rife, with many names linked as his opposite on the show. One name mentioned was Michael Chandler and it appears it will be him Vs McGregor.
Michael Chandler made his UFC debut competing on the same card as Conor at UFC 257 where he picked up a round one KO over Dan Hooker. Since then he has gone on to become one of the companies must watch fighters. Winning four performance bonuses in five fights and earning fight of the year in 2021.
Conor is a man who needs no introduction. A man who has transcended the sport he has been out since last January after an ankle injury. Now fully recovered The Ultimate Fight gives him the perfect opportunity to say in the limelight. This is while he waits for his mandatory six months in the USADA testing pool.
A Season To Remember
As previously mentioned, each man is must watch MMA. Both have been in indifferent form as of late, which is no slight, as they only face the toughest of competition. With each man looking to return to winning ways, the weeks spent in close proximity while coaching could prove for immense viewing.
As coaches, they will meet in the cage once the 31st season of TUF has concluded. The date for this fight is yet to be confirmed. Conor McGregor has previously coached in TUF against Uriah Faber in season 22, but due to the weight discrepancy, no fight was scheduled.
