Conor McGregor has been warned that UFC lightweight Justin Gaethje will leave him in a wheelchair if the pair collide inside the octagon.
McGregor’s last outing came in the way of a TKO loss to Dustin Poirier last year after suffering a gruesome leg break. The Irishman has been vocal in recent weeks about his triumphant return. McGregor’s rise to stardom was like nothing we’ve witnessed before in the sport, but as of late, the 34-year-old has won just once from his last four bouts under the UFC. With that statistic in mind, numerous fighters are willing to test their skills against the former two-division champion.
Among them is 155lbs brawler Gaethje who has always shown an eagerness to clash with McGregor before hanging up the gloves. Gaethje’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, a long-time critic of McGregor, doesn’t believe he will be man enough to face Gaethje upon his return.
“I would like to see Justin Gaetje destroy Conor McGregor and put him in a wheelchair,” Abdelaziz said during an interview with The Schmo when discussing future opponents for McGregor. “I would love to see that. Any weight. I would like to see this fight but we know he doesn’t like to fight anymore. He wants easy fights. He’s probably not going to fight Justin Gaethje.”

It remains to be seen what division McGregor will return to after recently bulking up during his time recovering from his injury. The Irish native has toyed with the idea of competing at 170 lbs. This means a fight with Gaethje could be the last on his list.
What do you make of Ali Abdelaziz comments? How do you envision a fight between Conor McGregor and Justin Gaethje would go down?
