UFC star Conor McGregor was involved in a car accident and has taken to Instagram to detail what happened. Thankfully it was nothing too serious and no one was seriously hurt. Conor posted about the incident to his 46 million followers.
Posting a three-part post to shed light on the crash. The First was just a picture of his bike flat in the middle of the road. The second was a video where he detailed the events and spoke with the driver. Then finally was a video of him and the driver making amends as they drove together.
Clearly shaken by the events, Conor manages to keep a clear head, and is saying “don’t worry about it” and “god bless”. The caption of the post was as follows.
“Got a bang of a car just now from behind. A sun trap, the driver couldn’t see me. Full spreed straight thru me. Thank you God, it wasn’t my time. Thank you wrestling and judo also. Having an awareness on the landing saved my life.”
Hopefully, this is just a minor incident and no one suffers any long-lasting damage. With UFC fans wanting to see the Notorious return as soon as possible, let’s hope he gets the all-clear soon. To view the post you can click here.
Road to Recovery
Inactive from competition since last January when he suffered a broken leg. McGregor has been on the mend since his injury. As time passes Conor continues to tease fans with his return and appears to be almost fully fit.
Most recently the Irish star has used his social media platforms to claim he has been offered a coaching role in the next series of TUF. With him likely to need a six-month window with USADA it could be the perfect welcome back.
Many names have been circling the rumour mill as to who his opposite coach could be, with the top three being, Michael Chandler, Jorge Masvidal and most recently Tony Ferguson.
Combat Sports UK wishes all involved the speediest recovery.
