Craig Harrison will make the walk at British Fighting Championship 4 on October 21st, and as always, he wants one thing, war!
Harrison will face Peter Jacobs, who’s coming off a loss, but he likes the matchup and is hopeful to pick up his first amateur win alongside his teammates who also feature on the card at the Middlesbrough Sports Village.
Ahead of the fight, we caught up with Craig Harrison. Hear his thoughts below.
Interview With Craig Harrison
A few weeks until you make the walk once again at British Fighting Championship. How are you feeling physically and mentally?
To be honest with you, I’m not really fussed about the record. I feel like two losses, I made stupid mistakes, and my 1st fight was a class scrap at Holytown Havoc. I enjoyed that one to break the ice into MMA. I still lost that one, but we ended up with a fight of the night and a cheeky £50 bonus.
It appears they’ll be a Goliath MMA army heading to Middlesbrough on the 21st. Talk to me about how it feels to be preparing alongside teammates and all heading on an away day together essentially.
Training camps have been lethal, and there is some buzz about the gym. All the boys are getting ready to take souls.
Peter Jacobs is the man standing across the cage from you in a few weeks. What do you know about him, and how do you feel your skills match up with his?
I don’t know too much about him, but I know he’s from a karate background. I’m just ready for a war in there.
Peter Jacobs Debut
He’s 0-1 and fought on BFC 3. Did you have the chance to watch that fight back at all? If so, what is your honest assessment of him from that fight?
I did watch his fight. I think he just got unlucky in his last outing. I hope the boy is ready for a war this time.
Can you highlight what it would mean to you to get your hand raised on Oct 21? and get that first victory under your belt?
It would be phenomenal. It’s always a deadly feeling getting your hand raised. No one likes to lose at the end of the day.
If your hand is raised, how does Craig Harrison celebrate?
There won’t be too many celebrations going on, maybe one or two, but Goliath home shows two weeks after this. I’m fighting on that as well, so I can’t over. Due to this, I got another person training to beat me.
